WHAT TO EXPECT (BEFORE) :
Before receiving microneedling at Flight Aesthetics + Salon in Oxford, Mississippi, you’ll have a comprehensive consultation with Robyn, our owner and skilled nurse practitioner.
During this consultation, we will discuss your aesthetic goals, medical history and any concerns you may have. It’s important to inform us of any medications or supplements you’re taking, as certain substances increase the risk of bruising.
For at least one week before your treatment, avoid medications and supplements that can thin your blood and increase the risk of bruising. These include aspirin, ibuprofen, vitamin E, fish oil and certain herbal supplements. Always consult with your healthcare provider before stopping any prescribed medications,
Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours before your appointment – and stay hydrated to ensure perfect results from your procedure!
On the day of you treatment, come with a clean face free of makeup. Together, we will carefully assess your facial anatomy to determine the best course of action for your skin health.
WHAT TO EXPECT (AFTER) :
After a microneedling appointment, you can expect some redness and sensitivity, similar to a mild sunburn, which typically subsides within 24-48 hours. Mild swelling, tightness, and dryness are also common as your skin begins its natural healing process. Some flaking or light peeling may occur within a few days as new, healthy skin emerges.
Your skin will be more sensitive than usual, so it’s essential to avoid direct sun exposure and wear SPF 30+ daily. For the best healing, refrain from wearing makeup for at least 24 hours and focus on hydrating, gentle skincare. Within a few days to weeks, you’ll notice smoother, firmer, and more radiant skin as collagen production increases.
